Supporting Those with Breast Cancer Barbara Krauser, hotline coordinator at SHARE, a New York-based support and education organization, suggests that you support the breast cancer patient in your life by doing the following: 1. Listen to her, but don't give advice 2. Offer to make phone calls for her to get the information and support that she needs
3. Go online for her and get information
4. Accompany her to medical appointments and take notes and ask questions 5. Suggest she join a support group and help her find one 6. Suggest she call a peer hotline and speak with a breast cancer survivor 7. If she needs chemotherapy and needs a head wrap, help her buy one
