 Sweetheart of a Meal

For Valentine's Day, keep it simple. Pair a romantic, vodka-infused dinner for two with stylish, creative drinks. Rose-colored pomegranate martini, anyone? How about a Chocolate Vodka Crush?

It's seductively simple.

"Vodka makes a powerful marinade," says celebrity chef Jon Ashton. "New flavored vodkas make for a delicious twist, adding vibrant flavors to meats and fish."

Here's a love potion to try out on your sweetie:

Pomegranate Champagne Cosmo:

  • 1/2 cup Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka
  • 2 tablespoons Cointreau
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed limejuice
  • 2 cups chilled champagne

Stir together Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice and lime juice. Just before serving, divide the pomegranate vodka mix amongst 6 champagne flutes and top off with your favorite champagne. Garnish with red raspberries.

Tie the Knot on Valentine's Day!

What better day to get married than on Valentine's Day, a holiday celebrating love and romance! Here are five ideas from WedAlert.com to make your Valentine's Day wedding one to remember:

Have your wedding invitations double as Valentine's Day greeting cards to your guests.

Decorate your reception venue with symbols of the holiday such as hearts, bows and arrows, and cupids.

Don't limit your cake shape to just round or square-go for an original heart shape in shades of red and pink!

When it comes to flowers, nothing is more romantic than red roses. Include them in the bridal bouquet, boutonni╦res, centerpieces and anywhere else you can think of!

For music, build on the cupid theme by having a harpist play at your ceremony, reception or both.

Getting Engaged Is Just The Beginning...

(PRNewswire) -- You're newly engaged and filled with excitement and anticipation. Now you just have to get from "Yes, I'll marry you," to saying "I do." The trick is to take a deep breath, work together as a team and get started.

You picked the perfect mate. Now it's time for the two of you to pick the perfect items to fill your new home. "Setting up a bridal registry is an opportunity to start with the best of everything. And once you've combined your efforts on this project, planning the rest of the wedding will be a breeze," says Bari Fagin of Bed Bath & Beyond.

Here are some tips to get you started.

Get organized: A binder or expanding file to store everything from initial ideas to final contracts and important details is a must. Create a calendar to help both of you track your progress and focus on your immediate tasks. Approaching this as a team effort will allow each of you to pick the tasks most suited to your abilities.

It's never too early to think about your bridal registry. Your guests may want to start buying you gifts as soon as you're engaged. At a store like Bed Bath & Beyond, the registry is always accessible to the couple and can be updated as new events on your wedding calendar approach. Providing your guests with a good selection of gifts throughout this period gives them a variety of choices for engagement gifts, bridal shower gifts and wedding gifts.

Your registry is your wish list: Nothing is off-limits - register for anything you would like to receive, from napkin rings to that stand mixer you've been wanting. This is the time to think of everything you'd want for your new home. While fine china is a registry choice that will last a lifetime, remember to include the items you need for your new home day in and day out.

Think beyond traditional gifts: Creating a home is more than just sheets, towels, pots and pans. It's important to involve the groom in the process. Today's grooms might have preferences for specific cutlery, cookware or gadgets. Don't forget to register for practical gifts like a great stainless steel trash bin, cleaning supplies and storage organizers.

You can register at any Bed Bath & Beyond store, or online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com.
